1. General information
These Terms of Service (hereinafter “Terms”) govern the use of Vallila Marine Oy (hereinafter “Vallila Marine”) online store and all orders placed through it (hereinafter “Service”) for business customers and private consumers (hereinafter “User”).
These Terms apply to product orders, delivery and other user actions in the Service, regardless of the device the Service is used on. The User may use the Service solely in accordance with the Terms, the applicable law and good practice. Some contents and features of the Service may only be available to the residents of certain geographical areas.
The Terms constitute an agreement between the User and Vallila Marine, and they lay down the User’s and Vallila Marine’s rights and obligations with respect to the Service. By using the Service, the User accepts the Terms valid at the time and undertakes to comply with them as well as with any possible conditions and instructions provided separately in the Service.

3. Personal data and cookies
Your personal data received by Vallila Marine due to the use of Service is being stored and processed by Vallila Marine and its authorized processors with care and in compliance with the applicable Finnish and EU data privacy legislation. 4. Use of Service
The Service, including its contents as well as all products ordered via Service, are offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Vallila Marine reserves the right to modify or change the Service or its contents at any time without prior notice or liability for damages.
5. Ordering
To place an order the User must meet the criteria set for ordering and give true and accurate information of itself. The User must be at least 18 years old to place an order via Vallila Marine online store.
Vallila Marine reserves the right to cancel placed orders. A binding order contract will only be formed when Vallila Marine sends the User an order confirmation confirming the availability and delivery time of User’s order.
All prices shown in Vallila Marine’s online store are in euros.
For orders outside the EU, the customer is responsible for any taxes, duties and similar expenses required by their own country. For orders outside the EU Vallila Marine does not charge the Finnish value added tax.
6. Delivery
Delivery time depends on the product’s availability and the destination of the delivery.
Shipping in Finland: Shipping fees are included for all orders within Finland.
International shipping: for international orders the shipping and other delivery fees depend on the chosen delivery method and destination, which will be specified in the order confirmation. The applicable delivery and shipping fees are shown in the online store before checking out.
Product installations are included for all orders within Finland.
7. Returns
Consumer Users have the right to cancel their order placed through the online store and return the product within 30 days of receiving of the order. The return policy does not apply to custom made or tailored products, or for sealed products if the seal has been broken.
The returned product must be unused and capable of being resold. The product must be packaged either in its original packaging or in a similar manner. The User shall be responsible for all immediate return costs.
8. Warranty
The warranty period is two (2) years for standard products of the collection manufactured by Vallila Marine.
The warranty does not cover defects that have arisen from normal wear and tear, as a result of neglect of maintenance, from incorrect installation (in cases the User has made the installation independently), incorrect and careless use, for use contrary to the manufacturer's recommendations or other external factors that have a harmful effect on the product.
In case the User notices a defect in the product, the User has to invoke the defect in writing without undue delay from noticing the defect but at the latest within 30 days from the delivery and or installation of the product. The warranty applies to material and manufacturing defects that appear in the product during the warranty period.
During the warranty period, Vallila Marine undertakes to repair, exchange or refund the products, at its choice, where the inspection reveals manufacturing or material defects that significantly impair the usability of the product. Replacing the product or part with a new one during the warranty period does not extend the original warranty period.
9. Intellectual property rights
The Service and its content, such as products, texts, images, product information, product and service names and logos, are the property of Vallila Marine or its cooperation partners and are protected by copyright as well as possibly other intellectual property rights, such as registered or non-registered trademarks.
All intellectual property rights related to the products, Service and its contents (such as copyrights, registered and unregistered trademark and design rights, domain names, patents, database rights and trade secrets) as well as the goodwill generated by their use shall remain the property of Vallila Marine and/or its partners or licensors. Vallila Marine does not grant the User any direct or indirect rights to the intellectual property rights.
10. Limitation of liability
Vallila Marine is not responsible for delivery delays or damages due to any force majeure type of situations, including unusual natural phenomena, disturbances in transportations, strikes, or trade prohibitions.
Vallila Marine is also not responsible for any disturbances, interruptions or downtime of the online store, nor liable for the correctness of the information provided in the Service. The Service might not be available in all countries, and it might be available only in certain languages. The Service, its operation and certain features may be dependent on the compatibility of the devices used and the network connections and content formats.
Consumers: These terms do not limit Vallila Marine's liability under applicable consumer protection laws, such as liability for defects. The consumer User must give notice of a defect of an item within a reasonable time from detecting the defect, but preferably no later than within two months from the date of delivery.
Companies: Vallila Marine is no responsible for any consequential or indirect damage. Our aggregate maximum liability for damages shall be limited to 100% of the product purchase price.
11. Changes to Terms
Vallila Marine reserves the right to change these Terms at any time without prior warning. Changes shall enter into force immediately after they appear on the website.
12. Applicable law, dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its provisions regarding choice of law. Any disputes that cannot be solved by negotiations, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Finnish courts.
Consumers can also seek advice from the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services (Kuluttajaneuvonta) or contact the Finnish Consumer Dispute Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta) for a recommendation.
